We Knights, and the Church itself, would like every practical Catholic gentleman to be a Knight of Columbus and it is our aim during the 2009 - 2010 to strive for that goal ------ "One Catholic Gentleman - One Knight of Columbus". This goal is not impossible, not even highly improbable, but entirely possible. Maybe not this year or even next, but surely each one of us with enthusiasm, proper attitude and belief that every Catholic gentleman should be a Knight of Columbus, will accomplish our goal.

Membership, the life blood of our order. Without it, we can not do the work of Christ in today's marketplace. It must be maintained and greatly increased monthly and yearly with aggressive recruitment programs. We will continue, as others before us, to promote intensely the concept of our founder, Fr. Michael J. McGivney, "One Catholic Gentleman - One Knight of Columbus". To quote what a wise man once said. "Isn't it better to shoot for the moon and hit an eagle than to shoot for an eagle and hit but a rock?" As in the past, ceremonials, a more active insurance program, awards and incentives will become a very active part of our program.
