2007 PILGRIMAGE TO AURIESVILLE
On September 22, 2007, for the 69th consecutive year, the Knights of Columbus will hold their annual pilgrimage to the
Shrine of the North American Martyrs at Auriesville.  The pilgrimage begins with a chicken bar-b-que followed by
Statons of the Cross, recitation of the Rosary and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  At 4 PM, everyone gathers for
a Mass in the main Coliseum.  Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, the Lily of the Mohawks, was born in Auriesville in 1656.
The Shrine is the site of the Mohawk Castle and village where Americas first and only canonized martyrs, St. Rene
Goupil (1642), St. Isaac Joques (1646) and St. John Lalande (1646) were tomahawked.  For more information contact
