2008 PRAYER RALLY
Albany, New York, May 13, 2008
On Tuesday, May 13, 2008,  Knights of Columbus members, families and friends from throughout New York State
traveled to Albany to conduct their 6th Annual Prayer Rally.  Led by  State Deputy EDward F. Castellazzi, they
gathered on the steps of the State Capital building to pray  the rosary asking for fair, just, and unbiased legislation
and to hear NYS legislators and K of C leaders urge Catholics to speak up for their rights.  The speakers urge the
Catholics to advise legislators of their views and to become more involved in the political process, especially with
regard to such issues as life, school aid, Catholic health care, the conscience clause and rejection of gay
marriage and domestic partnerships.  In addition to the prayer and supportive remarks, many Knights or their
designated representatives visited their state legislators.  Prayer Rally Administrative State Chairman Joseph
Peluso, organized the very successful event.
